Privacy

The short version

You can vote without an account, and we do not want to know who you are. We do not sell data, we do not run ad trackers, and there is no advertising network on this site.

If you are just voting

We store, per vote:

• Which product won and which lost, and the rating change.
• A short hash derived from your IP address and browser user-agent. It is used to rate-limit voting and to stop the same matchup being voted on twice. We do not store your raw IP address alongside your votes, and the hash is not used to build a profile of you.

Your vote count is kept in your browser's local storage so the page can say “12 duels judged”. It never leaves your device.

If you enter or boost a product

Your product URL, display name, and pitch are public, which is the point of the listing. Payment is handled by Stripe; we receive a confirmation and an identifier for the transaction, not your card number. If you gave an email address at checkout, we use it only to confirm the purchase and to reach you about your listing.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled on this deployment we use Umami, which is cookieless and does not collect personal data or track visitors between sites.

Outbound links

When you click through to a listed product we count the click. We pass a utm_source parameter so the product owner can see the traffic came from here. We do not pass anything about you.

Retention

Votes are kept for as long as the leaderboard exists, since they are the audit trail behind every rating. Rate-limit hashes expire within minutes.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your listing to be removed. Email leonardo@sophiegames.net.
